Our designers had a clear goal in mind for the design of Akubarik: to take the elegance and precision of the Klimax 350 and package it into a more compact enclosure, suitable for any size of room.
The simplicity of the design brief is reflected in the elegance of the curved cabinet, but look beneath the surface and you'll discover just how much Linn technology has been packed into this unique speaker in order to deliver its outstanding performance.
Akubarik features Linn's reference 3K Driver Array and Isobarik bass system. Simply choose which finish best complements your room, then just sit back and enjoy your music as you've never heard it before.
Akubarik combines beautiful styling with advanced electronics, offering stunning clarity and precision that will reignite your passion for music.
Encased within an elegantly curved and ultra-low resonance cabinet, the Akubarik speaker is fed a single digital input from any Exakt-enabled Linn networked music player. The on-board digital crossover in each speaker delivers five independently controlled channels, each with its own volume control, DAC and power amplifier.
Our Katalyst DAC Architecture takes unprecedented control of the critical elements that lie at the heart of the analogue signal's creation, giving you a deeper insight into your favourite music.
The Linn 3K driver array then delivers fantastically clear mid and high frequencies throughout your room, while the Isobarik bass system delivers power and musicality in the lowest frequencies without the need for a larger cabinet or separate sub-woofers.
Space Optimisation
Using sophisticated acoustic modelling, Space Optimisation builds a complete picture of how your speakers, their placement, and the unique characteristics of your room interact to affect the sound you hear.
By removing the unwanted distorting effects of your listening environment, it reveals the true sound of the music. Now you can place your speakers exactly where you want them and still enjoy great performance.
Our integrated speakers use Exakt technology to preserve the natural sound of every instrument.
Until now, no speaker system has ever been able to synchronise all the elements that make up every note, including all the harmonics. Exakt ensures the perfect time alignment of every part of every note, so now you can enjoy the same natural sound that was recorded by the artist.
Our new DAC architecture performs digital-to-analogue conversion with greater precision than ever.
Katalyst delivers our best digital-to-analogue-conversion by controlling the critical elements that lie at the heart of the analogue signal's creation.
Our integrated speakers have amplifiers and Exakt electronics on-board, delivering incredible performance in an elegant package.
Built-in to the rear of the speaker is an intelligent, networked module that's suspension-mounted to acoustically isolate it from the cabinet. Connected to a Linn network music player using Exakt Link, the module is fed a digital signal, which is split by the Exakt digital crossover into the precise frequencies required for each drive unit. Exakt’s powerful processing ensures the perfect time alignment of every frequency played by each drive unit, preserving the natural sound of every instrument.
Linn’s speaker cabinets combine master craftsmanship with advanced materials and manufacturing techniques to produce beautiful, high performance acoustic enclosures.
The complex laminated cabinet construction is pressure-formed to produce the distinctive curved design while providing an exceptionally rigid shell for the drive units to operate with minimised resonance. Carefully placed internal bracing provides added rigidity and an acoustically inert enclosure for stable mounting of the drive units.
Three drive units — mid, tweeter and super-tweeter — are housed in a single rigid, die-cast chassis.
By minimising the distance between drive units, a single-point sound source is created, which together with the acoustic ‘skoop’, produces exceptionally wide dispersion for precise and consistent high frequency performance throughout the room.
A depth of bass normally associated with much larger speakers.
By using two bass drive units working in tandem, positioned face-to-face at the foot of the speaker, bass is directed downwards and radiates out from the speaker through a precisely engineered air gap above the solid machined base.
